Exterior Remodel: Construction

This officially begins the Construction phase of the project.

It turns out our dirt sucks (expansive soil) so we had to use helical piers in place of a standard footing foundation for the addition.

We'll be holding a bake sale next weekend to cover the budget overrun.

This is what we got screwed with.

Exterior Remodel: Destruction

This is the demolition phase of the project. If you wanna' make an omelet, you gotta' break a few eggs.
This is the old deck on the south side of the house. You can see Chris on the left already tearing the porch off our bedroom.
